Our December module is going to be the best one of the year.

We’re going to focus on the skill of building habits. That’s actually what we’ve been doing for some time in Sea Change, by focusing on how to build different habits like meditation and exercise and waking early … but now we’re going to take a more detailed look at the skills required to build a new habit.

This is perhaps the most important module we’ve ever done, so I highly encourage you to commit today to doing this. Why is it so important? Because we often don’t realize why we’re failing at habits, and internalize it and blame it on ourselves. But in reality, we’re just not good at certain subskills in the habit skillset. We don’t realize what the subskills are that we’re lacking, and so we interpret the feedback (not doing the habit) as meaning that we’re not disciplined.

The truth is, you just need to learn what subskills you’re not good at, and practice them. Get some coaching, and get better.

I’ve recorded a video to talk about what we’ll be doing in this module:

(Note: If you can’t see the video in email, please go to this page on the Sea Change site.)

So that’s what we’ll be doing in December. It’s going to be awesome.

ACTION STEP

Commit today to doing a small, easy habit every day for the month of December. Make that decision in your mind to actually do it.

This is the first habit subskill, and the first step toward mastering habit skills.

The next step will come soon!
