- Starts with a morning or evening gratitude session – this is the basis of the habit
- Once this starts to become normal, can start to expand into the rest of your life
- One by one, create focuses for your gratitude practice
- Close your eyes & give thanks, at various times during the day
- Before each meal
- Before meeting with someone
- Whenever you talk with someone, as you converse
- As you exercise or meditate
- In email
- As you start work, as you end
- During a drive
- When things get difficult
- Give mental hugs
- Tell a coworker, employee or friend once a day
- Write it down
- Commit to someone else, share your gratitude with them
- Imagine losing the things you take for granted
