Welcome to Lesson 5 of the Advanced Habit Skills Challenge!
In this lesson, we talk about discomfort and urges, uncertainty.
- Discomfort is just a sensation in our body that causes us to veer off track.
- It is a feeling of resistance, tightening sensation, feeling of uncertainty.
- Recognizing the urge.
- Thinkin processes are associated with a feeling that are leading us to discomfort.
- This is not for higher sensations level like addictions are but for lover ones, just urges (smoking cigarettes, checking emails, etc.)
- We need to turn towards discomfort.
- Pause for few seconds/minutes and notice the sensation of discomfort and urge.
- Locate the sensation in your body and bring some curiosity.
- Breath, give yourself compassion. Bring curiosity.
